About Beeches Day Nursery

What we believe!

At Beeches Day Nursery in Walsall, we are committed to providing an excellent quality service for every child and parent. This is delivered within a safe, friendly and caring environment, where all our children feel nurtured and secure.

We provide children with opportunities to play, explore, learn and experiment, whilst allowing them to take reasonable risks which will help them gain confidence and grow into unique individuals.

Settling In

We believe that parents play a vital part of the settling in process. We recognise that parents are the most important people in their child’s life, and we ask during the first settling in session that along with their child’s key person they complete an `All About Me’ booklet. This gives us an insight into the child’s life at home, their likes and dislikes, and their personality, as each child is unique.

To help with the transition into nursery we begin with two settling in sessions, both of which are 1 hour long, if necessary additional settling in sessions can be offered. Our aim is to make the transition into the nursery environment as easy as possible for both child and parents. We recognise that the transition times for young children and their families can be anxious. Staff will proactively offer support for both parents and children to ensure that these difficult times are handled with sensitivity, and in partnership between the parents and the Key Person.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is built upon the seven areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Our dedicated staff are trained to foster social experiences that boost cognitive and language development using tools like WELCOMM and Early Talk Boost. We encourage independent exploration based on children’s interests, providing engaging activities that help them achieve their individual milestones through play.
Sustainability & Climate Change

At Beeches Day Nursery, we understand the importance of sustainability and climate change. We realise that we need to constantly look for new ways to improve our climate performance, to reduce our carbon footprint, and teach our children how to take care of their natural environment.

To help us take positive climate action, we have created our own personal, climate-friendly action plan that we will be working towards and building upon over the next three years.
